Early intervention improves preschoolers' heart healthy habits
Healthy and quick dinner with Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrigerated Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson®. The opinions and text are all mine.
I struggle with healthy dinner ideas, do you? We are in full blown sports mode right now so we literally have to eat and go most nights to get to various practices on time. I need something that is quick, easy, healthy and #everydayeffortless.
I was asked to test out Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrigerated Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast, so I took my little guy up to our local Walmart to do some shopping. He loves to “find” the product and this one was within his reach, so he was super excited! I love the fact this chicken is already cooked and just requires simple re-heating. Not only is this nice for those of us who are short on time, but also for those of us who are slightly cooking “challenged”.
We always have a protein with our meals and my kids generally prefer chicken. It was so simple to cook, I just had to put the oven roasted diced chicken breast in the skillet and turn on the heat! Super easy, right?! I also added some fresh salsa because my kids love salsa on everything. It only took about 20 minutes for it to fully heat up, which was just enough time for me to bake some asparagus. In just under 30 minutes, we had a super healthy, and very delicious, home cooked meal!
My oldest said the chicken was “great” and he liked that it was already “cut up” for him.
The leftovers are perfect for lunch salads or even added to some eggs in the morning for a protein packed breakfast.
I will definitely shop at Walmart again for some more of Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Refrigerated Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast and their other products as well.

Try this to make burpees more challenging
There was a time in my life that I detested burpees. I really hated them. Now, I get so excited when I find a new way to make burpees more challenging!
Here is a variation with battle ropes, that is guaranteed to make you sweat! Try it out and let me know what you think!
1 slam/1 burpee
2 slams/1 burpee
3 slams/1 burpee
4 slams/1 burpee
5 slams/1 burpee
and then repeat all the way back down to 1 slam/1 burpee.
Here is the video version:
I’ve been doing a personal training program designed by Ashley Horner and while it literally kicks my ass every single time, I love it. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and getting stronger. Check out her online training programs, you won’t be disappointed!

Flex it Friday–things I will miss edition
It’s Friday —which means it is time to get your FLEX on again! (go on, do it now. It is guaranteed to boost your spirits, I promise!)
I mentioned on Instagram that I am moving again and this time it’s out of the town I have lived in for the past 10 years. While I am super excited for new adventures, I am very sad to be leaving some really great friends. Here are some (not all, because I couldn’t track you all down just yet!) of the people and things I will miss.
I am really going to have a hard time leaving my good friend Jamie. She was the first friend I made here and she has helped take care of all my boys. She also has listened to all of my drama. (over and over and over again!)
I will also miss Jack. (who happens to be Jamie’s hubby). He pretends he doesn’t like my excessive swearing and my karaoke singing, but I know he secretly loves it. Why else would he keep that video on his phone?
I will miss my other fit mama friends who are always willing to go for a run or hike, even with my kids!
I already miss my boys former school. They closed in June and we are all missing them tremendously. (Please move with us Allison?)
I will miss this preschool and all the friends we made there. My youngest will not get the privilege to be in Ms. Lisa and Ms. Renee’s class, which completely bums me out!
I will miss all the fun friends who are always willing to throw down a hulk smash for me.
Even when we were out in a crowded bar on a Saturday night!
I will miss all our new fit neighbor friends and the ability to walk to school with them. I will miss the awesome lighting in my bathroom that always makes me look JACKED!
I miss all the beautiful walking paths in our neighborhood
and the middle school track that is like my own private track because there is never anyone else there.
I will miss him, even though he hates all things social media and probably won’t see this anyway.
But just as with fitness, we need to step out of our comfort zone in order to grow stronger. I am looking forward to a new town and discovering all that it will have to offer us and I hope we make some wonderful friends there right away!
Flex It Friday people! Enjoy those muscles!
